Health authorities in South Korea have decided to introduce COVID-19 vaccine leave from April, to allow people suffering side effects to take up to two days off work without a doctors’ note.
The decision on Sunday comes after a meeting between health officials earlier in the day.
Last week, the Ministry of Health and Welfare said it would recommend workers to take unpaid time off without having to use their regular leave.
As of Sunday, more than 10,three-hundred cases of post-vaccine side effects were reported, but the overwhelming majority were mild.
