President Moon Jae-in held phone talks on Thursday with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron.
During their hour-long conversation held at the request of Macron, President Moon highlighted South Korea’s efforts, including its Korean New Deal initiative and goals for carbon-neutrality, adding Seoul will actively implement the Paris Climate Accord.
Macron supported that and vowed to take part in next year’s P4G Summit in South Korea.
They also agreed to make efforts toward the fair distribution of COVID-19 vaccines and treatment.
President Moon added he will cooperate with the new U.S. administration for peace and denuclearization on the Peninsula.
