South Korea’s health minister has reiterated that the government will secure enough COVID-19 vaccines for the public.
Addressing the National Assembly Health and Welfare Committee on Thursday, Park Neung-hoo said the government has contacted nearly all pharmaceutical firms working on vaccine candidates, and is negotiating with five of them.
Having a production base in Korea, Park mentioned AstraZeneca as one possible supplier.
He added that officials will disclose detailed information on vaccine supply to the public as soon as possible.
