South Korea’s national security advisor Suh Hoon held a virtual meeting with his U.S. and Japanese counterparts on Friday during which he emphasized efforts to restart North Korea-U.S. dialogue should begin since the presidential election is over.
The three discussed denuclearization and peace of the Korean peninsula.
They agreed that diplomatic and security cooperation should continue no matter the result of the election.
They also agreed to strengthen cooperation on a COVID-19 vaccine as well as treatment development and distribution.
The three plan to hold an in-person meeting soon if situation allows.
