South Korea’s ‘MICE’ industry is struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but Seoul City’s efforts to overcome this crisis have been recognized.
MICE is short for meeting, incentives, convention and exhibition.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government has received the ‘BEST Marketing Award’ at the meeting of the International Congress and Convention Association held in Taiwan.
This award is considered the Oscar of the industry as it’s given to a city that has engaged into a remarkable marketing strategy.
It’s been eight years since an Asian city or country has won the award.
Seoul City continued to hold international meetings at virtual spaces and helped others to safely hold conferences by lending them thermal imaging cameras.
