National security adviser Suh Hoon, held a phone meeting with his American counterpart, to discuss major bilateral issues and regional state affairs.
According to the top office, both agreed to enhance coordination of key issues through diverse ways of communication such as face to face meetings.
Robert O’Brien offered condolences to the family of the South Korean government official killed by North Korean soldiers, and expressed support for Seoul’s effort to investigate the incident through communication with Pyeongyang.
South Korea and the U.S. vowed continued cooperation in promoting their alliance, denuclearization and peace on the Korean peninsula.
