President Moon Jae-in will hold a phone meeting with his German counterpart Angela Merkel this evening.
According to the top office, the duo will likely exchange views on COVID-19 response.
The South Korean leader is expected to seek Germany’s support for Trade Minister Yoo Myung-hee’s bid for the top WTO post.
It will be the first direct contact between Moon and Merkel since their summit in October 2018, on the sidelines of the Asia-Europe Meeting in Brussels.
