The national security chiefs of South Korea and the U.S. have discussed ways to advance the peace process on the Peninsula as well as cooperation against COVID-19.
In Seoul, the Blue House said Wednesday that National Security Advisor Suh Hoon spoke on the phone with his U.S. counterpart Robert O’Brien.
It was their first conversation since Suh was appointed in July.
They reaffirmed their strong commitment to their alliance, and said the next few months will be critical for progress on denuclearization and the peace process.
They agreed to continue their coordination on both issues and to closely cooperate on overcoming the pandemic.
